Why participate?

By having the Brain Project in schools, teachers will have the opportunity to educate their students on the topic of brain health, as well as offer students a unique, creativity art-based activity.

WHAT IS THE BRAIN PROJECT?

  • An outdoor art exhibit that brings brain health, creativity, and imagination to the streets of Toronto.
  • Aims to start a public conversation about brain health and raise awareness for diseases like Alzheimer’s and related dementias.

The Brain Project By Kids Activity

  • Students will be invited to decorate miniature brain sculptures using the topic of brain health as a source of inspiration. Think paint, crayons, markers, pom poms, pipe cleaners, glue, tape and glitter!
  • Teachers will receive brain sculptures for the whole class. Participating classes raise $250 or more. Students register and begin to fundraise online.
  • School prizing provided by Wintergreen-logo

Where do the funds go?

  • Dementia is a public health concern worldwide and Baycrest is working hard to respond to this crisis.
  • Funds raised through The Brain Project by Kids are donated to the Baycrest Foundation, a global leader in brain health and aging.
  • These funds support brain research, patient care, education and innovation.
